Help from Readers for Rescuing Finley

I’ve recently finished a new novel, called Rescuing Finley. I’m getting itFinley ready for publication now, hope to have it released by Thanksgiving Day. It will be the first of a trilogy of novels. Each one will feature a dog as one of the main characters (if you haven’t guessed it, Finley is a dog). The pic on the right is the dog who will serve as a “model” for Finley on the cover. I’m setting up a photo shoot for the cover very soon.

What I need help with is picking out a title, or a name for the series. I want to put the series title on the cover, which will be designed very soon. But I can’t seem to come up with anything I like. So I thought I’d ask my friends and readers for some help.

If you can come up with a series title you think would work, would you send it to me either as a FB message or an email at dwalsh@danwalshbooks.com? If I wind up picking your suggestion, I will send you an autographed copy of the book when it comes out, as well as mention your contribution on my Acknowledgments Page in the back of the book.

Here’s a couple of other things about the book series that might help you.

  • Each of the dogs in the books will come from a shelter.
  • Each of the stories will be set in a fictitious town called Summerville, FL.
  • Each of the books will include a love story element.
  • The titles of the other two books will be: Saving Parker and Finding Riley.

Thanks for any help you can provide. Looking forward to finding just the right name for this new series. Please get me your suggestions no later than Oct 1st (1 week from today)!

In case you’re curious, here’s a little blurb about the new book:

Finley’s original owner was a young soldier killed in Afghanistan. The grieving mother can’t take care of him any longer, so she brings Finley down to the Humane Society. Eventually, he’s brought to a nearby prison with a program where female inmates train shelter dogs to become service dogs for Wounded Warriors. Amy Wallace is a former meth addict serving her last year in prison for shoplifting. Amy becomes Finley’s trainer and absolutely loves him. Chris Seger is an Afghan war vet who lost his right leg to a land mine two years ago. He’s also struggling bigtime with PTSD. He learns about this prison program and doesn’t see how a dog can possibly help, but he agrees to check it out. The story is really about how Finley rescues the woman who trains him and the vet who adopts him (and seeing if the two of them might just fall in love).
