Haven’t been very active on Social Media since about March, but it’s not really because of the Covid-19 thing (although like everyone else, our lives have been dramatically affected by Covid). So, I thought I’d give my reading fans and friends a little update. Thankfully, so far none of us have caught the virus (including our kids and grandkids), and we’re following all the recommended precautions. I happen to be in the high-risk category (for … READ MORE

Today, I sent out to my newsletter friends a short history of my publishing journey, so they could understand a little bit about what’s behind the fairly wide variety of books I’ve authored over the past 9 years (18 in all). Here’s most of what I shared (if you’re curious): My Traditionally Published Novels To the right, are 8 of my traditionally published novels, all published by Revell (a major Christian publishing house). They were … READ MORE

My friends and fans would know, this year my plan is to write Book 3 for The Jack Turner Suspense series and my inspirational Forever Home series (Finley and Riley). Right now, I’m about 3 weeks away from finishing Book 3 in the suspense series, but I’ve been waylaid by a lengthy bout with bronchitis. That’s pushed the release date out a little, but I’m still planning on releasing the book in mid-May, Lord willing. Some of you know, due to … READ MORE

Merry Christmas!

Just wanted to take a moment to wish all of you, and those you love, a Merry Christmas. Cindi and I just celebrated our 40th anniversary in October, so we took a trip to the Disney area in November (had to wait a month due to the arrival of our new grandson). Here’s a pic she took of me at Port Orleans resort. We visited there because it was the setting for part of my … READ MORE

Tomorrow, (Sunday, October 16th) is our 40th Anniversary (click on the pics to see them a little bigger). I just got back from the store. Picked out a nice card and a pot of living flowers for Cindi (not cut roses; she wants to start gardening again). We’ll be going out to a fancy restaurant tomorrow evening. In a few weeks, we’ll be taking a 5-night, 6-day anniversary trip. I decided to write this for … READ MORE

Finding Riley, my newest novel, just released on Amazon. The Kindle and Print versions are both available TODAY. Some of you might remember the nightmare I had getting the print version of Remembering Dresden to work (finally happened a month late). Well, Finding Riley’s cover came out great the first time, and it’s already available on Amazon (for those of you who still love to turn real pages). This is the sequel to Rescuing Finley … READ MORE

Even as I typed the words for the headline of this post, it seemed crazy to think half of the summer is almost gone. So much has been happening, I’ll try to keep the updates brief. Before I get into the updates and forget to do this, I wanted to mentioned that, once again, I’m offering the entire 4-book set of the Restoration Series (co-authored with Gary Smalley) for only $25, plus $ shipping. These … READ MORE

Folks, I am a happy man today. It’s always a great day when you finish another book. Yesterday, I completed novel #16, Remembering Dresden. What made this day even better was that I finished the 2nd book in my new Jack Turner Suspense series. See, 2 years ago I wasn’t even “allowed” to write suspense novels. Only inspirational ones (like the books I’m mostly known for). I still love writing those, but I wanted to be … READ MORE

If you haven’t already heard, I have some sad news to share. A great man of God is now–to use the apostle Paul’s words–“absent from the body and present with the Lord.” Gary Smalley died on Sunday, March 6th. Here’s a statement put out by his family yesterday: It is with heavy hearts that we announce Dr Gary Smalley, at age 75, graduated to heaven last night. The family gathered and surrounded him, his … READ MORE
